What’s up guys, my name is Trevin Peterson & I’m a full-time 7-figure Amazon FBA seller. One of the biggest things that I’ve noticed in my mentorship program is that sellers often struggle to find different ways to scale their products further.

More than just using PPC campaigns to get more sales, but to send their products to the stratosphere, haha!

That’s why I’ve put together seven strategies to improve your Amazon FBA sales. You’re almost guaranteed to see a marked increase in your sales if you implement them in the next 22 days

I recommend reading through the following post, and then jump on our 22-day challenge. This NEEDS you to implement everything that I talk about below. Work hard for just three weeks and then reap the rewards at the end.

1) Get enrolled in the IP accelerator program

Getting involved in the brand registry on Amazon is a sure-fire way to increase sales. It opens you up to SO MANY opportunities for growth on Amazon. Most of the recommendations below (not all, but most) will require registering for the IP accelerator program, so I recommend jumping on this today. 

It takes around two weeks to get brand registered, so this needs to be the number 1 action in this 22-day challenge. Here’s how you do it. 

There is a cost involved in brand registry. It costs about $1,000, but you need to invest in your business if you want to see it grow. If you have a best-selling product or a product that’s already making waves on Amazon, then this is the right move to make. 

I recommend using IdeaLegal as the organization to help you register. I’ve used them before, and their service is amazing. It was super easy and super inexpensive. 

It can take those winners and start to snowball them. 

Because this takes around 14 days to get approved, apply for Brand Registry, and then move onto the following six steps. 

2) Make use of Amazon’s Coupon Codes

These are hidden away under the advertising tab on Seller Central. They’re the little green tags that you’ll see in the search results that give buyers 5-10% off their purchase.

Coupon codes work best when you’re the only person in the search results who are offering a coupon. It’s like a light to a fly. It draws customers in.

I use coupon codes to draw and put some life into slower products or increase my sales in slower months (I find January always tends to be quieter, so I use coupon codes more around this time).

The benefits of doing this is that: 

More sales = a higher rank

More reviews from these sales = more credibility

More people who own your product = more exposure through word of mouth. 

This all works together to create a snowball effect and drives higher organic sales (and as we all know – organic sales is where the money is at!)

3) Lightning deals.

Now not every one of your products will be eligible for this, but you can check to see which qualify by heading to 

Advertising > Deals > Lightning Deals

In the same way that coupon codes can start to get the ball rolling for your products… lightning deals are like coupon codes on steroids. They will boost your products up the organic rankings and get that snowball effect to start. 

Lightning deals do have a price tag – the average cost is around $150. But the result of using lightning deals is the growth that will come after the deal has ended. 

Because I know how much impact it can have in the future, I aim to break even with my lightning deals. I’ll then start profiting off the back of it. 

In the long run, you’re building your organic rank – that organic JUICE – that then leads to a higher rank, and more juice, and more rank and more juice… it just goes on and on

(little side note – make sure to manage your inventory when implementing these strategies correctly. All of this time and effort will go to waste if you end up out-of-stock for six weeks, unable to keep the ball rolling.)

Lightning deals take a little time to schedule in advance, so knock these out early in the 22-day challenge – give them around 14 days to schedule – and then you’ll have your deal running and will start to see some results!

As I said, not everyone can use lightning deals, but those who can will see massive results from it.  

4) Add videos to your listings

Once you’ve enrolled in brand registry, you can start to add videos to your listings.

We live in a world where more and more people are skeptical of what they buy online – they’re worried that they are buying cheap rubbish from China. So by adding videos to your listings, you add a level of social proof to the listing. 

Your customers can see the product in use and how it can help their lives. And this opens big opportunities. But, most of all, it helps with improving your conversion rate and improving your PPC campaigns. 

Again, this just steamrolls your sales. The more sales, the higher the organic ranking. 

5) Use A+ content

In the same way that we’re adding videos to our brand registered listings, we need to start adding A+ content. These are the extra pictures and layouts in your product description that “level up” the design of your product 

The number 1 thing about enhanced product listings, both the pictures and videos, is that you need high-quality creatives. This requires an investment in your business to help improve sales. 

Hire a videographer to make your product video and a specialist product photographer to take additional images of your product. These creatives will take up extra space in your product listing real-estate, so they need to look good. 

A+ content is all about attention to detail. Bad images, videos, or descriptions will kill conversions. Don’t take shortcuts, but invest and work to improve on these.

The more you invest in yourself and your business, the more you will grow. 

6) Use sponsored brand video ads

I’m giving you all the secrets here

Doing this is basically printing money. 

We will be doubling down on our investment in product videos and launching video ads. They work just like regular PPC campaigns where you’re driving sales to the listing but at a much higher conversion rate. 

Video ads take pretty much no time to set up. You then monitor them (can use Helium 10’s Cerebro to figure out which ASINs to target) and then see what converts. Then, convert and optimize for improved results.

If you’re not running PPC, you’re missing out on MONEY. If you can run video ads, and you’re not doing them… you’re neglecting your Amazon listing. 

Similar to lightning deals, if I can just break even on my PPC campaigns, I’m happy because it helps with organic rank and organic sales. 

7) Enroll in the Vine program. 

This is a dinky and simple strategy that creates social proof. 

The Vine program allows you to give away up to 30 products to Amazon’s Vine reviewers. These reviewers will take the products, use them for a bit and then give you extra reviews on your products. 

We all know that extra reviews create extra sales, and I’ve seen the success of this myself. For example, I personally had 18 products accepted into the Vine program and received an additional 16 reviews to one of my listings. 

These reviews help with PPC because of the social proof, improve conversions, and ultimately help with my organic rankings. 

What to do next?

These are all simple little ways to grow your listing and sales, but they add up.

All seven pieces of advice here focus on ripple effects. These initial actions compound to create something bigger (the ‘something bigger’ is more sales and more profit). 

As long as you take the mentality that these strategies only need to break even, you will explode your organic sales growth from there.
